Purpose of the role:

This role is centred on supporting all aspects of the daily warehouse operation as applicable to the Kent Community Pantry. In completing the role there should be a understanding of the Fareshare mission that “no good food should go to waste”. Your work will make sure that quality surplus food is helping feed those people in need.

Main responsibilities:

  • As directed by the management team support the following general daily warehouse work activities; Product Sortation / Product Picking / Food Box Assembly /Product Packaging /  Vehicular – unloading and loading.
  • Ensure the wearing of all necessary PPE, thus maintain the safety of both yourself and others you may work with.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy work environment.

How do I secure a placement?

If you are 16-24 and receiving Universal Credit, talk to your Jobcentre Plus work coach about the scheme. They will be able to tell you if you’re eligible and if there are any Kickstart opportunities coming up.
